If on your Management Accounts, the date is pulling incorrectly on your Control tab, it is most likely due to the fact you are new in a "NEW YEAR" and the period dates have therefore changed.
This is not automatically updated on your Management Accounts. Therefore, if the period dates have not been updated, it will be displaying the incorrect date.
To update your period dates on your Management Accounts select the Parameters tab.
There is a section that looks similar to the below:
Update the dates as per new period dates, and then re-run your Management Accounts. The correct date for the period selected should then display.
