Many Navigator users will use the Navigator Vehicle Model List data supply service.
This uses data supplied from a third party data supplier who in turn receive model, specification and pricing data from the Manufacturers in the UK.
It will often happen that certain models will not appear in the price list that they supply to us.
This has two key reasons :-
New Model Introductions
When a new model is introduced (or a new model year or special edition etc) then there can sometimes be a lag in the data being manually entered into their database, checked and then released. It's not unusual for this to take up to 10 days before it is released to us so that we can include in the daily updates we distribute.
On other occasions, Manufacturers simply forget to send the updates to our data supplier and they need to request.
If this is the case, then please let us know and we will advise accordingly - please note though that it is normal for up to 10 days to pass between our reporting an omission and it appearing.
Each line in the database we receive has a date that the vehicle was last in the Manufacturers price list that was supplied to our provider and a flag as to whether the vehicle is current or not (this is currently available in the price list as an orderable model).
Clearly, in many brands, vehicles are removed from pricing, but stock is still in then network. To assist, we include the vehicles in our files for 180 days after it is last seen in the pricelist.
This may mean though that some models need adding manually.
There is a possibility that some models are erroneously marked as non-current - in which case we can advise the data supplier accordingly
