There are a number of reason in which a Service or MOT date may not appear to move on;
- “Due for” has been removed from the job description
- A line for MOT or Service has been added to the job after the booking without MOT or Service being select
- MOT has been marked as “Fail”
- The Standard job isn't configured as an MOT job
“Due for” has been removed from the job description:
When creating the appointment – MOT or Service Required is selected – and then the requirements are amended. It is important that the “Due for MOT” remains.
Additional information can be added to the job description after the appointment has been created.
A line for MOT or Service has been added to the job after the booking without MOT or Service being select
A line for MOT or Service has been added after the creation of the job – but has been created using Add Job instead of Add Request.
Or add request has been used, but the Due for has been removed.
When creating the appointment – MOT or Service Required is selected – and then the requirements are amended. It is important that the “Due for MOT” remains.
MOT has been marked as “Fail”
If an MOT has been marked as failed on “Complete MOT” then the MOT date will not move on – as it has failed.
If this has accidentally been marked as failed, select Restart Job and then re-select Complete MOT.
The standard Job isn't configured as an MOT job
The standard jobs need to be set with a job type of "MOT" (see below)
This is set in Workshop Parameters > Standard Jobs
