If you notice discrepancies in part prices on a workshop job—such as booking a part at one price but removing it at another—you may need to manually adjust these prices to ensure accuracy. Here's how to resolve the issue:
Identifying the Issue
This issue will typically appear on the Parts tab within the workshop job, where you may see mismatched sale prices for the same part. These mismatched prices can prevent the proforma invoice from balancing correctly.
Step-by-Step Resolution
Locate the Part Line:
- Open the workshop job and navigate to the Parts tab.
- Identify the part line(s) with the mismatched prices.
Select the Line to Amend:
- Single-click the part line you wish to amend.
- For this example, we will adjust the top line to match the price on the bottom line.
Edit the Sale Price:
- Click into the Sale Price field for the selected line.
- Enter the correct price to match the corresponding part line.
Apply the Changes:
- Press Update to save the changes.
- Confirm that both part lines now have matching sale prices.
Additional Notes:
- These steps ensure the sale prices for added and removed parts are consistent, allowing the proforma invoice to balance correctly.
- If the discrepancy persists or you are unsure of the correct price, verify the part's pricing in the Parts Module or consult your pricing records.
- Always review the proforma invoice after making changes to confirm that the totals align.
