Using the Sales Manager’s Toolkit

Modified on Mon, 5 May at 8:18 AM

The Sales Manager’s Toolkit in Navigator provides sales managers with powerful tools to oversee enquiries, monitor team performance, and run critical reports. This guide covers how to access the toolkit, configure team visibility, and navigate each tab and reporting option.

Accessing the Toolkit

  1. Open Navigator.

  2. From the main menu, select Vehicles.

  3. Then choose Sales Manager’s Toolkit from the submenu.

The system will open on the Enquiry Manager tab by default.

Enquiry Manager Tab

Key Features:

  • Shows sales enquiries assigned to team members.

  • Defaults to Current View Only, meaning:

    • Only enquiries with a next contact date today or in the future are shown.

    • Past-due enquiries are hidden unless the filter is changed.

✅ To see all open enquiries, uncheck Current View Only.

Staff Configuration Requirement

⚠ For enquiries to be visible to a sales manager, each salesperson must be assigned to the manager’s staff record.

If not configured:

  • Enquiries from that staff member will not appear in the manager’s view.

Check and configure this in the system's user settings.

Today Tab

Displays all enquiries and actions that have taken place on today’s date.

Use this to:

  • Review daily performance

  • Track contact attempts and outcomes

Enquiry Statistics Tab

Provides metrics such as:

  • Number of walk-ins

  • Enquiries created

  • Sources of contact

You can filter this by date range to analyse trends.

CRM Performance Tab

Tracks individual sales staff performance, including:

  • New enquiries generated

  • Follow-ups made

  • Deals closed

Use this for coaching, 1:1s, or performance reporting.

Accessing Sales Reports

To run reports:

  1. Click the Reports tab at the top of the screen.

You will have access to the following commonly used reports:

1. Handover Diary

  • Shows all scheduled vehicle deliveries.

  • Supports delivery prep and workload planning.

2. Debtors Report

  • Displays vehicles sold but not fully paid for.

  • Helps monitor outstanding balances.

3. Profit Report

  • Analyses closed deals and shows actual profit by period.

  • Useful for monthly or quarterly financial reviews.

4. Pipeline Profit Report

  • Forecasts future profit based on current orders.

  • Uses retail pricing and estimated cost values.

5. Order Book

  • Lists all open sales orders.

  • Allows viewing and limited editing (before invoicing).

6. Stock List

  • Provides a list of all in-stock, unsold vehicles.

  • Use filters to view other statuses or vehicle types.
