A split invoice is used when a customer wants to purchase a dealer option item separately rather than including it in their vehicle financing. This allows for flexibility in payments while keeping financial records accurate.
Steps to Configure a Split Invoice
1. Access the Vehicle Stock Record
- Open the Vehicle Stock Record
- In the top ribbon, select "Configure Split"
2. Initiate a New Split
- On the right-hand side, select "New Split"
- The customer search screen will appear
- Search for and select the customer
- Double-click their name to return to the Configure Split screen
3. Assign the Item to the Customer
- Double-click the line item you wish to bill separately
- Enter the value under Split 2
- Select "Don't Charge" next to Split 1 to prevent duplication
4. Save and Finalise the Split Invoice
- Click Close to save the split
- Exit the Configure Split window
5. Invoice the Deal
- When invoicing, the system will generate two separate invoices:
✅ One for the main vehicle sale
✅ One for the dealer option item
