How to Check Historical Parts Stock Value

This guide explains how to retrieve and analyse historical parts stock values using the Nominal Ledger module in Navigator.


Step 1: Access the Accounts Module

  1. Ensure you have the required access permissions.
  2. Navigate to the Accounts module on the main menu.

Step 2: Open the Nominal Ledger

  1. From the dropdown menu, select Nominal Ledger.

Step 3: Generate the Reconciliation Report

  1. Click the Reports tab within the Nominal Ledger.

  2. Select the Reconcile option.

  3. Choose the desired reporting date:

    • Enter the date manually in the DD/MM/YY format.
    • Alternatively, use the Calendar button to select the date.
  4. Once the date is selected, click Report to generate the reconciliation report.


Step 4: View Parts Stock

  1. Locate the Parts Stock line in the report.
  2. Double-click the line to access detailed stock information.
  3. To export the data, right-click on the screen and select Export to Spreadsheet.

Step 5: Analyse the Data

  1. Open the exported spreadsheet in Excel or another spreadsheet application.
  2. Use the filtering tools to sort and analyse the data:
    • Filter by franchise to view stock values for specific franchises as of the selected date.
