Transferring a vehicle to another customer ensures accurate record-keeping and simplifies the management of vehicle ownership within the system. This guide provides clear, step-by-step instructions to transfer a vehicle to a new or existing customer.


Steps to Transfer a Vehicle

  1. Access the Vehicle Tab:

    • Navigate to:
      Customer Prospect > Vehicle Tab.
  2. Update Vehicle Details:

    • Click the Update button located next to the Registration Number (Reg No).
    • Select the option Transfer to New/Current Customer.
  3. Search or Create a Customer Record:

    • A customer search screen will appear. From here, you can:
      • Search for an Existing Customer: Enter the customer details to locate the record.
      • Create a New Customer Record: If the new owner is not in the system, create a new record and save it.
  4. Complete the Transfer:

    • Once the appropriate customer record is loaded or created, click Save and Close.
  5. Verify the Transfer:

    • Search for the vehicle by its registration number to confirm it is now correctly assigned to the new customer.
