Transferring a vehicle to another customer ensures accurate record-keeping and simplifies the management of vehicle ownership within the system. This guide provides clear, step-by-step instructions to transfer a vehicle to a new or existing customer.
Steps to Transfer a Vehicle
Access the Vehicle Tab:
- Navigate to:
Customer Prospect > Vehicle Tab.
- Navigate to:
Update Vehicle Details:
- Click the Update button located next to the Registration Number (Reg No).
- Select the option Transfer to New/Current Customer.
Search or Create a Customer Record:
- A customer search screen will appear. From here, you can:
- Search for an Existing Customer: Enter the customer details to locate the record.
- Create a New Customer Record: If the new owner is not in the system, create a new record and save it.
- A customer search screen will appear. From here, you can:
Complete the Transfer:
- Once the appropriate customer record is loaded or created, click Save and Close.
Verify the Transfer:
- Search for the vehicle by its registration number to confirm it is now correctly assigned to the new customer.

- Accurate Search: When transferring to an existing customer, ensure the correct record is selected to avoid errors.
- Ownership Updates: The vehicle’s details, including service history, will now appear under the new customer’s profile.
