The most common cause of blank or incorrect dates on transactions is due to incorrect regional settings on your Windows computer.
How to Fix Regional Settings on Windows
Ensure your regional settings are set to United Kingdom to use the day/month/year (DD/MM/YYYY) format.
Windows 10:
- Open the Start Menu and click on Settings (the gear icon).
- Navigate to Time & Language.
- In the left-hand menu, select Region.
- Under Region and Language, make sure United Kingdom is selected as your region.
- Scroll down to Change data formats and verify that the date format is set to DD/MM/YYYY.
- If needed, select Additional date, time, & regional settings for more advanced options.
Windows 11:
- Open the Start Menu and select Settings.
- Go to Time & Language from the left-hand panel.
- Click on Language & Region.
- Ensure United Kingdom is selected as your Country or Region.
- Under the Regional format section, click on Change formats to confirm the date format is set to DD/MM/YYYY.
- If further changes are needed, select Related settings and choose Administrative language settings for advanced adjustments.
Setting the regional format to United Kingdom and ensuring the date format is day/month/year should resolve any issues with dates appearing incorrectly on your transactions.
