Setting Up a New Valeter in the System

To set up a Valeter, follow these steps carefully. Ensure you have the necessary access to Setup > Staff Record before proceeding.


Step 1: Create a New Staff Record

  1. Navigate to Staff Records and click the New button.
  2. In the Basic Details tab, enter the Valeter’s name.

Step 2: Assign Privileges

  1. Go to the Privileges tab.
  2. Assign a branch to the user.
  3. Create a numeric password for login access.

Step 3: Technician Setup

  1. Proceed to the Technician Setup section.
  2. Enter the Valeter’s details as required.
  3. If the user is not working as a technician, leave the Skill field blank.

Step 4: Final Settings

  1. Check the “Valet Only” box to correctly categorise the user.
  2. Set efficiency to 0.00 (since Valeters are not measured by efficiency metrics).
  3. Click Save to complete the setup.
