Troubleshooting: Technician Unable to Clock On

If a technician is unable to clock on, check the following:

  1. Password Configuration:

    • Ensure their password is numeric, as the technician clock system only supports numerical passwords (no letters).
    • Someone with access to Setup > Staff Records can update the password if needed.
  2. Branch Assignment:

    • Verify that the technician is assigned to the correct branch.
    • This can be checked and updated in Service Manager's Toolkit > Update.
  3. Manual Clocking Settings:

    • Check that the technician is not set up for manual clock-ins.
    • Go to Setup > Staff Records > Privileges > Service, and ensure that "Manually Add Clock Times" is unticked.
