If a technician cannot clock on, job times and labour tracking become inaccurate. This affects workshop scheduling, payroll accuracy, and reporting. Resolving clock-on issues quickly ensures smooth workshop operations.
Steps to Check
1. Password Configuration
Technician passwords must be numeric only. The clock system does not accept letters.
To update a password, go to Setup > Staff Records and edit the password field.
2. Branch Assignment
Confirm that the technician is assigned to the correct branch.
This can be checked and updated in Service Manager’s Toolkit > Update.
3. Manual Clocking Settings
Make sure the technician is not set up for manual clock-ins.
Go to Setup > Staff Records > Privileges > Service.
Ensure the option Manually Add Clock Times is unticked.
Next Steps
If the technician is still unable to clock on after these checks, contact the helpdesk team for further assistance.
