In some dealerships, the default vehicle type may need to be adjusted to better reflect the most commonly sold or managed vehicles. The system supports a variety of vehicle types, including cars, boats, and caravans.
Setting the most frequently used vehicle type as the default can streamline the process for users when creating vehicle records, reducing the need for manual adjustments and improving efficiency.
By default, the system is set to Car, but you can change this by following these steps:
- Navigate to Setup > Branch Setup.
- In the General Details tab, locate the Default Vehicle Type setting.
- Select the desired vehicle type from the available options.
- Click Save and Close to apply the changes.
Important:
Users must log off and log back in for the new default vehicle type to take effect.
This simple adjustment can help speed up workflow and improve accuracy when entering vehicle details.
