Error: Part Not Available for Sale

Purpose of This Message

This error indicates that the part in question has not been flagged as "Available for Sale" within the system. As a result, it cannot be sold or added to sales-related transactions such as sales orders or quotations.

Why This Happens

When a part is created or updated in the system, it must explicitly be marked as available for sale. If this option is not selected, the system will prevent it from being used in any sales process. This is a safeguard to avoid mistakenly selling internal-use-only, obsolete, or restricted parts.

How to Fix It

Follow these steps to make the part available for sale:

  1. Navigate to Parts Maintenance
    Go to Parts > View/Update Records.

  2. Search for the Part
    Enter the part number or relevant details, then click Load to bring up the part record.

  3. Edit the Part Details
    Switch to the Details tab.

  4. Enable Sale Availability
    Tick the Available for Sale checkbox.

  5. Save Changes
    Press Save to apply your updates.

Once these changes are saved, the part will be eligible for use in sales-related processes.
