Access to accounts reports—such as debtor and creditor listings—is controlled via staff privileges. Granting this access allows authorised users to run and view reports from the Sales Ledger or Purchase Ledger, which are essential for credit control, supplier management, and financial analysis.
This is managed through each user’s staff record in the system setup.
How to Grant Access to Accounts Reports
Go to:
Setup > Staff Records
Load the staff member's record who requires access.
Open the Privileges section.
Navigate to:
Accounts > Sales Ledger and/or
Accounts > Purchase Ledger
Tick the checkbox for “Reports” in either or both sections, depending on which type of reports the user needs access to:
Sales Ledger Reports provide access to debtor reports.
Purchase Ledger Reports provide access to creditor reports.
Click Save to confirm the changes.
The staff member will need to log off and back on again for the new access rights to take effect.
Why This Matters
Providing access to accounts reports allows users to:
View aged debtor or creditor summaries
Support financial audits and reconciliation
Monitor outstanding balances and payment patterns
