When customers make a workshop booking online, the booking must be reviewed and accepted before it is added to the workshop diary.
This allows your dealership to control workshop availability and prevent customers from overbooking appointment slots.
How to Approve an Online Booking
Navigate to Service Reception > Bookings for Approval.
A list of online booking requests awaiting approval will be displayed.
Open the relevant booking to review the job details.
Check the workshop diary to ensure there is suitable availability.
Accept the booking into the diary, allocating it to an appropriate date and time.
Repeat this process for any remaining bookings awaiting approval.
Once accepted, the booking will be added to the workshop diary.
Why Do Online Bookings Require Approval?
Online bookings are not automatically placed into the workshop diary.
Instead, Navigator allows your dealership to review incoming requests before accepting them.
This helps you:
Prevent overbooking – Ensure customers cannot book more work than your workshop can accommodate.
Manage workshop capacity – Check available appointment slots before accepting additional jobs.
Maintain control of the diary – Decide when and where incoming online bookings are scheduled.
Avoid scheduling conflicts – Ensure sufficient time and resources are available for the requested work.
Important Points to Remember
Online booking requests must be reviewed under Service Reception > Bookings for Approval.
A booking awaiting approval has not yet been accepted into the workshop diary.
Always check availability before accepting a booking.
Once accepted, the booking is added to the diary.
Summary
To process an online booking, navigate to Service Reception > Bookings for Approval, open the relevant job and accept it into the workshop diary.
This approval process gives your dealership control over incoming workshop bookings, helping to manage capacity and prevent overbooking.
