I want to create a new nominal code, how do I do this?

In this example we will be covering how to create a new nominal code.

Example being a savings account within the nominal ledger to be used to journal a set amount for each sale of a car.

To set a new nominal code up go to Accounts > Nominal Ledger > Utilities > Nominal Code and find one that says NOT USED - we will be using 179.

Double click the line - change the Description and tick the nominal type that relates to the types of postings that will be hitting his nominal.

As this is a savings account, type 60 will need to be ticked. Then press Update.

The nominal code can now be used.
