Create a Mechanical/Non Mechanical request against a Stock Record

Follow these steps to create either a Mechanical or Non-Mechanical request for a stock record in the system.

1. Access the Vehicle Administrator’s Toolkit

  • From the Navigator Main Menu, select Vehicles.
  • In the dropdown, choose Vehicle Administrator’s Toolkit.

2. Search for the Stock Record

  • In the window that appears, search for the required stock record.
  • Once located, select the PDI/Prep tab.

3. Creating a Mechanical Request

  • To create a Mechanical request, click on the Add button. 

  • In the pop-up window, enter the details of the Work Required, then click OK.

  • The work details will display on the screen.

  • To carry out the mechanical work, a Workshop Order must be created. The description of the required work will appear on the workshop order screen.

4. Creating a Non-Mechanical Request

  • To create a Non-Mechanical request, highlight the desired requirement and click Request.

  • Enter the relevant note in the pop-up window and select OK. The date of the request will now display.

  • If you wish to remove the request, highlight the request and the Request button will change to Remove. Click Remove, and a confirmation message will appear.

5. Completing Non-Mechanical Items

  • To complete a non-mechanical item, highlight the relevant request line and select Complete. The completion date will appear in the Completed column.

6. Preparing the Vehicle for Sale

  • Once all requests are completed and the vehicle is ready for sale, tick the Prepared for Sale option. This will update the status of the stock record.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage mechanical and non-mechanical work requests against stock records and update the vehicle’s status for sale preparation.
