Creating a Workshop Order Against a Stock Record

Modified on Thu, 12 Sep at 4:46 PM

A workshop request can be created for a stock record using any of the following methods:

Method 1: From the Stock Record

  • Click the Workshop Order button directly from the stock record.

Method 2: When Raising a Sales Order

  • Generate a sales order and create the workshop request during the sales process.

Method 3: During Vehicle Acceptance

  • Select the Create Workshop Job option when accepting a vehicle into stock.

Once initiated, the Workshop Request dialog box will appear.

Default Job Requests

By default, the following tasks are automatically included in the job request:

  1. Multi-Point Check: If not previously requested.
  2. Fit Dealer Accessories: Any dealer accessories not already assigned.
  3. Additional Work: Any other work specified in the PDI/Prep tab of the vehicle's stock record.

Managing Job Requests

  • The default workshop for the sales department will automatically receive the request, though you can update this if needed.
  • To add additional tasks, click the Add Job button.
  • To remove a task, highlight the relevant line and click Remove Job.

Assigning Multiple Workshops

If the vehicle requires work from more than one workshop:

  • Highlight a specific job line and click Assign to Other Workshop.
  • This will remove the line from the current workshop order screen and open a new Workshop Request window with the selected items, allowing you to assign them to a different workshop.
