Extended vehicle analysis allows you to break down vehicle models by franchise in your Extended Trial Balance (TB), providing more detailed reporting and analysis. This guide explains how to enable extended vehicle analysis for specific franchises.

Steps to Add Extended Vehicle Analysis

  1. Access the Trial Balance Setup:

    • Navigate to:
Nominal Ledger > Utilities > Setup > Trial Balance Setup.
  2. Add the Franchise:

    • In the Trial Balance Setup, locate the section for adding franchises.
    • Enter the name of the franchise you want to include in the extended analysis.
  3. Save and Apply:

    • Save the changes to finalise the setup.

Outcome

  • The added franchise will now appear as a separate category in your Extended Trial Balance (TB).
  • All vehicle models under this franchise will be included in the analysis, providing detailed insights.

Key Notes

  • Franchise-Specific Reporting:
    • Adding franchises allows for more granular financial reporting by separating vehicle data by model or franchise.
  • Setup Accuracy:
    • Ensure the correct franchise names are entered to avoid missing data in the TB.
  • Revisions:
    • Additional franchises can be added or updated as needed through the same setup process.

Scenarios Where This Process is Useful

  • Enhancing financial reporting by breaking down vehicle models by franchise.
  • Analysing performance for specific franchises or vehicle models.
  • Improving reporting accuracy for audits or management reviews.
