How to Add a New Vehicle Make for Extended Nominal Code Analysis

Modified on Tue, 13 May at 8:37 AM

If a new vehicle make is not appearing in the extended nominal code analysis, it is likely because it has not been configured within the Trial Balance Setup. This process ensures that all relevant vehicle makes are included for detailed analysis and reporting in the extended Trial Balance (TB).

When to Use This Process

  • When a newly added vehicle make does not appear in extended TB reports.

  • When setting up new vehicle makes to ensure they are analysed consistently going forward.

How to Add a Vehicle Make to the Analysis

  1. Navigate to Accounts > Nominal Ledger > Utilities > Setup > Trial Balance Setup.

  2. In the Trial Balance Setup screen, locate the section titled Vehicle Makes to Analyse.

  3. Add the new vehicle make under this header.

  4. Click Save to confirm the changes.

Outcome

The newly added vehicle make will now be included in the detailed analysis and reporting on the extended Trial Balance. Going forward, all transactions associated with this make will be properly categorised and reported.

Additional Notes

  • Always double-check the spelling of the make to ensure accurate reporting.

  • Any makes not listed under "Vehicle Makes to Analyse" will continue to be excluded from extended TB reports.
