Modified on Wed, 25 Sep at 9:58 AM

Step 1: Open Your Web Browser

Start by opening your preferred web browser, such as Google Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge.

Step 2: Visit the AnyDesk Website

In the browser's address bar, type the following URL and press Enter:

www.anydesk.com

Step 3: Download AnyDesk

Once you’re on the AnyDesk homepage, look for the red Download Now button. Click this button to start downloading the software.

Step 4: Locate the Downloaded File

Once the download begins, you may be prompted to confirm or choose a location for the file. By default, it will be saved in your Downloads folder.

If your browser has a download bar, you can find the file there. It will typically be named something like AnyDesk.exe.

Step 5: Open the AnyDesk Application

After the download is complete, locate the downloaded file and double-click it to run AnyDesk.
Note: There's no need for a full installation. AnyDesk will run directly from this file.

Step 6: Provide the AnyDesk Address

When AnyDesk opens, you’ll see a 9-digit code displayed prominently in the window. This is your unique AnyDesk Address.

Share this code with the support agent who will use it to connect to your machine.

Step 7: Accept the Connection Request

Once the support agent sends a request to connect to your computer, you will see a prompt asking if you want to allow the connection.

Click Accept to grant the agent access to your computer. You may be asked to confirm additional permissions, such as screen control or file sharing. Make sure to allow these if requested.

Step 8: You're All Set!

Once connected, the support agent will be able to view your screen and control your computer to help resolve your issue.

Troubleshooting and Additional Notes:

  • Mac Users: If you're using a Mac, you might be prompted to grant additional permissions in your system settings. To do this:

    1. Open System Preferences from the Apple menu.
    2. Go to Security & Privacy.
    3. Under the Privacy tab, make sure to allow AnyDesk to control your computer.
  • Firewall or Antivirus Prompts: Occasionally, your firewall or antivirus software may ask for permission to run AnyDesk. Be sure to allow it so the connection can proceed.
