Full Uninstall of Navigator

Method 1: Uninstall Navigator via Settings

  1. Open the Settings Menu

    • Windows 10: Click the Start button, then click the Settings (gear) icon.
    • Windows 11: Right-click the Start button and select Settings from the menu.
  2. Navigate to Apps & Features

    • In both Windows 10 and 11, within the Settings window, click on Apps.
    • Then, select Apps & Features from the list.
  3. Find Navigator to Uninstall

    • Scroll through the list of installed applications or use the Search bar to find Navigator.
  4. Select and Uninstall Navigator

    • Once you locate Navigator, click on it. A small menu will appear with the Uninstall option.
    • Click Uninstall, then follow the on-screen prompts to confirm and complete the process.


Method 2: Uninstall a Program via Control Panel (Alternative Method)

  1. Open Control Panel

    • Windows 10: Type Control Panel in the Start menu search bar and select it from the results.
    • Windows 11: Type Control Panel in the Start menu or search bar, and select it from the results.
  2. Go to Programs and Features

    • In Control Panel, click on Programs, then click Programs and Features.
  3. Select Navigator to Uninstall

    • You will see a list of installed programs. Scroll through the list or use the search bar to find Navigator.
  4. Uninstall the Navigator

    • Select Navigator by clicking on it, then click the Uninstall button at the top of the window.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the uninstallation process.


Method 3: Uninstall Navigator with Third-Party Uninstaller Tools (Optional)

If you encounter issues with removing Navigator via standard methods, you can use third-party uninstaller software like Revo Uninstaller or IObit Uninstaller. These programs help to:

  • Remove leftover files and registry entries that may not be removed through normal uninstallation methods.

Post-Uninstallation Cleanup

After uninstalling Navigator, it's a good idea to check if any residual files or folders are left behind as these may still cause issues when it is reinstalled:

  1. Check Program Files Folders

    • Go to C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86) and see if any folders related to Navigator remain. If so, you can delete them manually.
  2. Clear AppData

  • Go to C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Local and see if any folders related to Navigator remain. If so, you can delete them manually.



Tips:

Reboot Your Computer: After uninstalling a program, consider rebooting your system to ensure that all components have been properly removed. 


if you are unable to see C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Local it may be a hidden folder, to display hidden folders follow the below steps.


Step 1: Open File Explorer

  1. Windows 10: Click on the File Explorer icon in your taskbar or press Windows + E on your keyboard.
  2. Windows 11: Click on the File Explorer icon in the taskbar or press Windows + E.

Step 2: Open the View Tab

  1. Windows 10: In File Explorer, click on the View tab at the top of the window.
  2. Windows 11: In File Explorer, click on the View option in the top toolbar, then hover over Show.

Step 3: Show Hidden Items

  • Windows 10: In the View tab, check the box labelled Hidden items.
  • Windows 11: In the View menu, hover over Show and then select Hidden items from the dropdown menu.
