If you need to change your date format to the United Kingdom format (DAY/MM/YEAR) to ensure your workshop diary loads correctly, follow these steps:
For Windows 10:
Open Settings:
- Click on the Start button and select Settings (the gear icon).
Navigate to Time & Language:
- In the Settings window, click on Time & Language.
Change the Date Format:
- Click on Region in the left-hand menu.
- Under Region, make sure your Country or Region is set to United Kingdom.
- Click on Change data formats at the bottom of the page.
- In the Short date dropdown, select dd/MM/yyyy to set the date format to the UK standard.
Close Settings:
- Your changes will be saved automatically. You can now close the Settings window.
For Windows 11:
Open Settings:
- Click on the Start button and select Settings (the gear icon).
Go to Time & Language:
- In the Settings window, click on Time & Language from the left menu.
Adjust Region Settings:
- Click on Language & region.
- Make sure your Region is set to United Kingdom.
Set the Date Format:
- Scroll down and click on Administrative language settings under the Related settings section.
- In the new window, click on the Formats tab.
- Click on Additional settings.
- In the Customize Format window, adjust the Short date to dd/MM/yyyy and click OK.
Apply and Save:
- Confirm and apply the changes. Your date format should now be set to the UK standard.
Note: After making these changes, check your workshop diary to see if the issue has been resolved. If problems persist, consider restarting your computer to ensure the settings take effect.
