- Default Behaviour:
Any part with a bin location and a stock quantity will automatically appear on stock take reports.
How to Prevent Parts from Appearing on Stock Takes
If you want to exclude certain parts from the stock take, follow these steps:
Access the Part Record:
- Navigate to Parts > View/Update Record.
- Search for the specific part you want to exclude and load the record.
Set the Part to Not Stocked:
- Go to the Stock tab within the part record.
- Change the Bin Location 1 field to NOT STOCKED.
Note: Ensure it is written exactly as "NOT STOCKED" (case-sensitive).
Ensure Zero Stock and Bin Location:
- Confirm that the stock quantity for the part is set to zero.
- Update the Bin Location to NOT STOCKED as well.
Save Changes:
- Once these changes are made, save the record to ensure the part is excluded from future stock takes.
Important Notes:
- Parts with any stock quantity greater than zero, or without the "NOT STOCKED" bin location, will still appear on the stock take reports.
- Regularly review and update your part records to maintain accurate stock take reports and streamline your inventory process.
