The Branch Setup function allows you to configure location-wide parameters for each branch within your organisation. It is accessed via Setup > Branch Setup.

Accessing Branch Setup

  • Navigate to Setup > Branch Setup to manage or configure branch-specific settings.

  • Branches can be selected from the existing list or created using the Create button.

General Details Tab

This tab contains key details about the branch:

  • Company Association: Specifies which company the branch belongs to.

  • Default Vehicle Type: Defines the primary type of vehicle associated with the branch.

  • SMS Name: The name displayed on text messages sent from this branch.

Parts Tab

The Parts Tab manages inter-branch transfers and includes the following options:

  • Inter-Branch Transfers: Configure processes for transferring parts between branches.

  • Daily Stock Check List: Enable this option for the branch to generate a daily stock check list.

  • Parts Transfer Modes:

    • Single-Phase: Parts are automatically transferred upon initiation.

    • Two-Phase: Parts transfers require acceptance from the receiving branch.

Sales Setup Tab

The Sales Setup tab provides configurations specific to the sales department:

  1. Sales Administrator:

    • Currently not in use but reserved for future functionality.

    • Intended to define the staff member responsible for receiving vehicle-related notices.

  2. Default Workshop for PDI Requests:

    • Specifies the workshop responsible for Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) work for the department.

  3. Inter-Branch Delivery Costs:

    • Sets the internal cost of transferring vehicles between branches.

  4. Delivery Schedule Setup:

    • Configure colour codes and handover times by vehicle type.

    • Enables the setup of the handover diary, which can also be shared with other branches.

  5. Used Vehicle Default PDI Costs:

    • Defines the standard cost for used vehicle checks for each vehicle type.

  6. Monitored Email Accounts:

    • Allows the system to monitor POP3-based email accounts for incoming sales emails (e.g., from Autotrader or the dealership’s website).

  7. Online Enquiry Management:

    • Configures types of emails to be picked up from monitored accounts.

    • Defines the Enquiry TypeSource, and Sub-Source to classify and assign enquiries to the appropriate sales team.

  8. Redirect to This Account:

    • Ensures emails not handled by Navigator are redirected to a specified email account. This prevents duplicate monitoring of accounts by other users.
