How to Deliver a Stock Vehicle

This guide explains how to deliver a vehicle in Navigator, finalising the transaction by logging the vehicle as delivered. This action updates system records, confirms ownership handover, and optionally links the vehicle to the customer in the marketing database.

Delivering a vehicle should be the final step after the sale has been completed and the stock record is fully updated.

Step-by-Step: Delivering a Vehicle

1. Open the Vehicle Stock Record

• Log in to Navigator.

• Load the relevant stock record.

• Ensure the vehicle has been sold and all sales processing steps are complete.

2. Go to the Sales Status Tab

• Click the Sales Status tab in the vehicle record.

• Click the Deliver button.

A pop-up window will appear to guide you through the delivery settings.

3. Complete Delivery Details

In the pop-up window:

• Delivery Date

  • Automatically defaults to today’s date

  • You can manually adjust this if required

• Delivery Mileage

  • Enter the vehicle’s mileage at point of delivery

• Next Service Date

  • Enter the expected date of the vehicle’s first or next service

4. Marketing Options

You’ll be asked whether to attach the vehicle to the customer’s marketing record:

Create Customer Record

• Yes – The vehicle is added to the customer’s profile in the marketing system

• No – The vehicle will not appear in marketing data

Own Old Vehicles

• Yes (default) – Keeps any other vehicles linked to the customer in the marketing record

• No – Removes all existing vehicles from the customer’s marketing profile

⚠ Only set this to No if the customer does not own any other vehicles.

5. Finalise the Delivery

• Once all details are correct, click Confirm.

Navigator will update the record, and the Deliver button will now be replaced by Un-deliver, allowing reversal if necessary.
