Understanding the Delivery Section in the Actions Report

Modified on Thu, 3 Jul at 1:45 PM

The Delivery section in the Actions Report is designed to help users monitor the delivery status of vehicles. It serves as a quick reference to identify whether a vehicle has been successfully delivered or whether any follow-up action is required. This section is particularly useful for fleet managers, administrators, and delivery coordinators who need to stay on top of scheduled vehicle movements and ensure timely handovers.

By understanding how to interpret the information presented, you can avoid missed deliveries, reduce administrative overhead, and maintain accurate delivery records.

How to Read the Delivery Section

The Delivery section includes two key elements:

  • Delivery Checkbox: Indicates whether the vehicle has been marked as delivered.

  • Delivery Date: Displays the scheduled or recorded delivery date.

When No Action Is Needed

Condition:
The vehicle has been successfully delivered and marked accordingly in the system.

How it appears in the report:

  • The checkbox is ticked ()

  • The Delivery Date field is blank

Interpretation:

  • The vehicle has been confirmed as delivered.

  • No further action is required.

This is the ideal state for completed deliveries and confirms that the process is complete in the system.

When Action Is Required

Condition:
The vehicle has not yet been marked as delivered.

How it appears in the report:

  • The checkbox is not ticked ()

  • The Delivery Date field contains a future date (i.e. a scheduled delivery)

Interpretation:

  • The vehicle is scheduled for delivery, but the delivery has not yet been confirmed.

  • Action is required to either:

    • Ensure the delivery is carried out as scheduled, or

    • Follow up to confirm whether the delivery has taken place and update the system accordingly.

This state helps users prioritise follow-ups to ensure deliveries do not fall through the cracks.
