Discounting a Product in Retail

You apply a discount when a product needs a reduced price. You can enter the discount as a percentage or as a new sale price.

Why This Matters

• Keeps pricing accurate

• Ensures discounts are recorded correctly

• Speeds up counter work when exceptions are needed

Applying a Discount

Select Override (F2) or press F2 before scanning or entering the product code.
After you scan the product or type the product code, the discount screen appears.

Entering the Discount

You have two options:

• Enter a percentage in the Discount % box

• Enter a new price in the VAT Inc Sale Price box

Press Enter to confirm the discount.

The product is added to the invoice with the discount applied.
