Issuing Products to a Workshop Job from Retail

Modified on Tue, 25 Nov at 3:34 PM

You issue products to a workshop job when parts are needed for a repair or accessory fitting. The parts are taken from stock and linked to the correct job.

Why This Matters

  • Ensures parts are charged to the correct job

  • Keeps stock levels accurate

  • Records workshop usage for reporting and billing

Before You Start

Make sure you have a valid Repair Order / Job Number.
The job number is printed at the top of the job card used by technicians.

Selecting the Products

Add the required products in EPOS as you normally would.
There is no need to adjust prices or discounts.

Issuing to the Workshop Job

  1. Select Workshop Job (F9) or press F9.

  2. Enter the Repair Order / Job Number.

  3. Select Search or press Enter.

  4. Review the job details displayed on screen.

  5. Select Confirm or press Enter to proceed.
Select Cancel if the job is not correct.

Optional Settings

  • Picking Note Required
Tick this box before confirming if you need a printed picking note.

  • Pre-Pick Box Number
Use this field if the parts are being stored for later fitting, such as in a workshop rack.
Enter a reference to help staff locate the stored parts later.

Completion

Once confirmed, the parts are issued to the job and stock is updated.
