How negative stock is populated

Modified on Thu, 27 Nov at 10:14 AM

When negative stock is active, Navigator allows you to sell items that are not currently in stock. The system tracks the quantity as a negative balance until the parts are received and booked in. Once the goods-in process is complete, stock levels automatically adjust to the correct figure.

When to use this
• You need to sell parts already ordered but not yet received.
• Your retail shop needs to process sales continuously.
• You want to prevent transaction delays while waiting for stock updates.

Key details
• Negative stock is disabled by default.
• Enabling it requires support assistance.
• Once enabled, the system updates automatically when stock arrives.

Getting set up
