Adding the Online Service Booking Link to ACM Contact Methods

This guide explains how to add the online booking link to ACM email and SMS templates. This allows customers to book online as soon as ACM contact is made.


Why This Matters
If the booking link is missing, customers cannot self book. This reduces response rates and increases manual work for advisors. Adding the link improves bookings and reduces time spent handling follow ups.


When You Use This
Use this when creating new ACM templates or updating existing ones. Apply the change to all MOT and Service templates.

Process Overview

  1. Open the Email Template Editor.

  2. Add the online booking link to every ACM email type.

  3. Open the SMS Template Editor.

  4. Add the online booking link to every ACM SMS type.

  5. Save and test.

Detailed Steps

  1. Go to Marketing.

  2. Open NewACM.

  3. Select Email Template Editor.

  4. Open the MOT email template.

  5. Insert the online booking URL into the message body.

  6. Save the template.

  7. Repeat the same update for MOT and Service combined, and Service only.

  8. Return to NewACM and open the SMS Template Editor.

  9. Open the MOT SMS template.

  10. Add the online booking URL to the message. Keep the text short for character limits.

  11. Save the template.

  12. Repeat the same update for MOT and Service combined, and Service only.

  13. Send a test email and SMS to confirm the link displays correctly.


Common Mistakes
Updating email templates but forgetting SMS templates.
Editing only MOT templates and missing Service templates.
Placing the URL in the wrong position or breaking the layout.
