Online Service Booking Setup

Modified on Fri, 15 May at 1:26 PM

The Online Service Booking setup allows you to configure how customers book workshop appointments through the web application. From this area, you can:

  • Set booking lead times
  • Create selectable job options for customers
  • Configure the booking confirmation message

Accessing Online Service Booking Setup

  1. Go to Workshop > Service Parameters.
  2. Select Online Booking Setup at the top of the screen.

Setting Up Booking Lead Times

The booking lead time controls how many days in advance a customer must book their vehicle into the workshop.

To configure booking lead times

  1. Locate the Booking Lead Times (Days) field.
  2. Enter the required number of days.

Example

  • The booking lead time is set to 3 days.
  • A customer makes a booking on 15th October.
  • The earliest available booking date will be 18th October.

Why This Matters

Lead times help you manage workshop capacity and preparation time. This prevents same-day or short-notice bookings that the workshop may not be able to accommodate.

Setting Up Job Options for the Webpage

Job options allow customers to select the type of work required when making a booking online.

Adding a Job Option

  1. Select the + button on the right-hand side of the screen.
  2. The job setup window will appear.
  3. Enter the job description.

Linking a Job Description to a Job Code

  1. Select Select within the job setup window.
  2. The job code selection window will appear.
  3. Double-click the required job code.
  4. Select Close to save the details.

Removing a Job Option

  1. Highlight the required job line.
  2. Select the – button on the right-hand side.

Why This Matters

Clear job options improve booking accuracy and help the workshop prepare for the work required before the vehicle arrives.

Setting Up the Confirmation Message

The confirmation message displays beneath the standard text shown on the online booking web application.

To configure the confirmation message

  1. Locate the Confirmation Message section.
  2. Enter the message you want customers to see.

Example

Please remember to bring in your service book.

Why This Matters

Confirmation messages help communicate important instructions or reminders to customers before their appointment.
