The Branch Setup function in Navigator contains location-wide parameters that allow customisation and control of branch-specific settings. Access this feature by navigating to Setup > Branch Setup.
Access and Permissions
- Branches can be selected from the dropdown menu.
- Important: Do not create new branches without consulting the Helpdesk.
General Details Tab
This tab contains key details for the branch, including:
- Company Information: Defines the company the branch belongs to.
- Default Vehicle Type: Sets the default type of vehicle for the branch.
- SMS Name: Configures the sender name that appears on text messages sent from the branch.
Parts Tab
The Parts Tab manages inter-branch transfers and additional settings:
- Inter-Branch Transfers: Configure how parts are transferred between branches.
- Daily Stock Checklist: Enable or disable the generation of daily stock checklists.
- Single-Phase Transfers: Automatically transfer parts between branches upon initiation.
- Two-Phase Transfers: Require receiving branches to accept parts before the transfer is finalised.
Sales Setup
This section configures various aspects of the sales department operations:
Sales Administrator for the Branch
- Not currently in use but reserved for future functionality.
Workshop for PDI Requests
- Specifies the default workshop responsible for pre-delivery inspections (PDI).
Inter-Branch Delivery Costs
- Sets internal costs for transferring vehicles between branches.
Delivery Schedule Setup
- Configure colour codes and handover times for the Handover Diary.
- Share handover schedules with other branches if needed.
Used Vehicle Default PDI Costs
- Specifies the expected cost for standard used vehicle checks by type.
Monitored Email Accounts
- Enables monitoring of POP3-based email accounts for incoming sales leads (e.g., Autotrader, dealership website).
Online Enquiry Management
- Defines email types, enquiry types, sources, and sub-sources for categorising enquiries.
- Assigns enquiries to specific sales teams.
Redirect Email Accounts
- Redirects unprocessed emails to a specified account, ensuring monitored accounts are not simultaneously handled by other systems or staff.
Notes
- Changes: Ensure changes made in the branch setup are saved to avoid data loss.
- Helpdesk Support: Contact the Helpdesk for assistance with advanced configurations or if you're unsure about the impact of specific settings.
