How to Clock a Technician Onto a Workshop Job

o clock a technician onto a workshop job, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Workshop > Technicians Clock.

  2. You’ll see a screen displaying all technicians associated with the current workshop.

    • Tiles under the "IN" heading indicate technicians who are clocked into the system for the day on a "Non-Productive Code" and are ready to be clocked onto a job.

    • Tiles under the "NOT IN" heading show technicians who have not clocked into the system for the day.

  3. To clock a technician onto a workshop job:

    • Click on the technician listed under the "Technicians In" section. 

    • Enter the current tyre depths for the vehicle and select Next.

    • Enter the current mileage and select Next.

    • Enter the status of the workshop job, such as "Awaiting Authorisation," and select Next to continue.

    • Choose the technician’s Non-Productive time, which will update their status on the touch screen.

    • Finally, in the window that appears, enter the required job number and select Clock In.

    • You’ll then have the option to clock onto individual job lines or the entire job card.

Once you’ve completed these steps, the technician will be clocked onto the designated workshop job.
