What Does "CLOSED, PENDING" Mean in the Status of a Vehicle?

Modified on Thu, 2 Jan at 11:09 AM

The status "CLOSED, PENDING" indicates that while the deal has been closed, there is still an outstanding action or requirement associated with the vehicle.

Common Scenarios for "CLOSED, PENDING" Status

  1. Outstanding Balance:

    • If the deal is closed but there is still an amount outstanding in the Debtors tab, the status will remain "CLOSED, PENDING".
    • The deal will only update to "CLOSED, PAID" once the outstanding balance is fully paid, reducing the debtors' value to zero.
  2. Pending Costs or Processes:

    • Other actions, such as incomplete cost postings, warranty updates, or missing documentation, may also cause the vehicle to remain in this status.

How to Resolve "CLOSED, PENDING"

  1. Check the Debtors Tab:

    • Navigate to the Debtors tab on the stock record.
    • Confirm if there is an outstanding balance.
    • Post receipts or resolve any outstanding amounts as required.
  2. Verify Related Costs:

    • Ensure all PDI/Prep costs or other associated costs have been assigned and accounted for.
  3. Review Documentation:

    • Confirm that all necessary documentation or actions, such as warranty registration, have been completed.

Key Notes

  • The "CLOSED, PAID" status signifies that all financial obligations and required processes have been completed.
  • Regularly reviewing the Debtors tab and associated costs ensures accurate status updates for vehicle deals.
