How Do Privileges Work for the Sales Ledger?

Privileges can be configured through Setup > Staff Records via the Privileges tab.


Each checkbox in the sales ledger system controls access to specific functions. Here's a breakdown of the key privileges:

  • Enquiry: Grants access to various tabs, including details and cleared transactions. It also allows users to amend account details and adjust credit limits.

  • Invoice: Enables the invoice posting function, allowing users to generate sundry invoices.

  • Receipts: Activates the receipt posting function, enabling payments to be allocated against invoices.

  • Journals: Allows the creation of sales-to-nominal journal entries.

  • Reports: Provides access to the reporting section, including the debtors report.

  • Statements: Enables the ability to email and print bulk statements.

  • Setup: Allows configuration of sales ledger settings, including the email setup for sending sales ledger statements.
