If you are unable to raise sales orders on vehicles, it may be due to specific restrictions applied to the user account. Below are potential reasons and how to resolve them:
1. Staff Privileges
Ensure that the user’s privileges allow them to raise sales orders. To check and resolve this:
- Go to Setup > Staff Records > Privileges.
- Navigate to the Sales tab.
- Confirm that Raising of Sales Orders Not Permitted is unticked.
- If this box is ticked, it restricts the user from raising sales orders.
- Untick the box and save the changes.
2. Sales Admin Profiles
Another potential reason is that a Sales Admin Profile has been assigned to the user, limiting their actions within the Vehicle Admin Toolkit. These profiles are designed to provide limited access for staff in other departments without granting full Vehicle Admin privileges.
To check the assigned profile:
- Go to Setup > Staff Records > Privileges.
- Under the Sales System tab, check the Vehicle Admin Access dropdown.
- If the user is assigned a restrictive profile, consider switching to a profile with full sales order access or creating a new profile with appropriate permissions.

Key Points to Remember
- Sales Admin Profiles are useful for granting limited access but can restrict core functions like raising sales orders.
- Ensure the user’s privileges align with their role requirements to avoid unnecessary restrictions.
- Changes to privileges and profiles should be made by authorised personnel only.
