What Happens When You Accept Jobs into Stock Before the Appointment Date?

Modified on Mon, 14 Apr at 9:03 AM

In Navigator's workshop system, jobs are typically booked for a future date based on the customer's appointment. However, there may be situations where the vehicle arrives early and the job needs to be accepted into stock before the scheduled appointment date.

This article explains how the system handles these early arrivals and how they are reflected in workshop job statuses.

Accepting Jobs Early - What to Expect

When a workshop job is accepted into stock before its due date (i.e. the scheduled appointment date):

  • The system will mark the job status as Job In.

  • This indicates that the vehicle is physically on site and the job is now active, even though the scheduled date has not yet arrived.

This behaviour allows flexibility in handling customer arrivals that occur ahead of schedule while still maintaining accurate job tracking.
