This guide explains how to properly review and close sales enquiries using the Sales Manager’s Toolkit in Navigator. Closing enquiries helps maintain a clean pipeline and ensures accurate reporting of successful sales and lost opportunities. It also supports follow-up by generating reminders when needed.
Step-by-Step: Closing a Sales Enquiry
1. Access the Sales Manager’s Toolkit
Open Navigator.
From the Vehicles menu, select Sales Manager’s Toolkit.
The system opens by default to the Enquiry Manager tab.
2. Display All Enquiries
Uncheck the Current Only filter to view all open enquiries, including those with overdue contact dates.
You can sort or filter the list by criteria such as:
Salesperson
Enquiry date
Status
3. Locate and Open the Enquiry
Use the filters or scroll through the list.
Double-click on the enquiry to load the full record.
You may review or update details, but the focus here is on closing the enquiry.
4. Close the Enquiry
From the loaded enquiry, select Close Log from the toolbar or menu.
You will be presented with two options:
Mark as Sale
Mark as Lost Sale
5. Provide Additional Information
If selecting Lost Sale:
Choose a Lost Sale Reason from the dropdown list.
Optionally, set a Next Contact Date.
⚠ Setting a next contact date will create a reminder for the assigned salesperson, which appears in their Sales 360 Reminders section.
If no date is entered, no reminder will be generated.
6. Finalise and Refresh
Click Close once all fields are complete.
Return to the enquiry list and click Refresh from the top menu.
The closed enquiry will disappear from the active list (if filters exclude closed records).
