How to Prevent and Remove Duplicated Jobs in autoVHC

Modified on Sat, 12 Jul at 9:05 AM

This guide explains why jobs may appear duplicated or incorrectly listed in autoVHC and how to prevent and resolve this issue.

Duplicated or cross-site job entries can cause confusion during vehicle health check processing, especially in multi-site environments. The most common cause is manually triggering the DMS Import function, which is not necessary when using Navigator.

Why Duplicated Jobs Appear in autoVHC

If the DMS Import button is clicked manually within autoVHC, it triggers a data pull across the entire server. This includes jobs from other sites, leading to multiple or incorrect job entries appearing in your local autoVHC screen.

Important:

Do not click the DMS Import button.
Navigator already handles this process automatically for your site. Manually triggering it overrides the normal flow and causes incorrect data to appear.

How to Remove Jobs from Another Site in autoVHC

If jobs from another site are already appearing in autoVHC, they can be removed manually using the built-in deletion feature.

Steps to Delete Incorrect VHC Jobs:

  1. Open the autoVHC screen.

  2. Click on More Options.

  3. Select Delete VHC from the dropdown menu.

  4. You will be taken to a selection screen.

  5. Highlight the jobs you wish to remove using the red checkbox on the left side.

  6. Fill in the mandatory fields, including the reason for deletion.

  7. Click Confirm to complete the deletion.
