We understand that seeing the most up-to-date information is crucial for managing your business. This guide explains why you might experience a short delay when checking your stock list report.
Why is my stock list not updating straight away?
This behaviour is part of the current system design, prioritising report speed, especially for large inventory databases.
Your stock list report currently uses a process called caching to ensure it loads data very quickly:
The system is cached: This means that when you run the report, it pulls information from a saved copy (a 'cache') rather than recalculating the entire list from scratch every time.
The cache clears every few hours: The saved copy of the stock data is refreshed (cleared and updated) automatically on a schedule of every few hours.
Why is this current design in place?
The primary purpose of caching is performance.
Fast Reporting: This design ensures the stock list report runs significantly faster, preventing long loading times and delays when you need to access reports containing large amounts of data.
Working on Improvements
We recognise that a delay of several hours for essential stock data is not ideal for real-time inventory management, and we are actively working on improvements to this process.

This ensures the report delivers fast performance. | The new solution aims to provide more frequent or near-instantaneous stock updates without compromising the speed of your reports. |
We are committed to delivering both fast performance and accurate, timely data, and we appreciate your patience as we develop this improved feature.
