Underwriting notes store additional information against a record. If the notes are no longer required, you can remove them directly from the underwriting notes field.
The system requires the field to contain a character. Because of this, the notes cannot be completely empty.
Remove the Underwriting Notes
Open the record containing the Underwriting Notes field.
Locate the Underwriting Notes box.
Delete the existing text.
Enter a single space in the field.
Save the record.
Result
After saving:
• The original underwriting notes are removed
• The field remains valid because it contains a space
• The record saves without error
