Removing a technician from Navigator can be done in two ways:
- Removing from the clock screen but retaining clocking records
- Completely removing the technician from the system and all reports (this action is irreversible).
Step 1: Remove Technician from the Clock Screen (Retain Clocking Records)
This method ensures the technician is no longer visible in the clocking screen but their records remain available for reporting purposes.
- Navigate to Service Managers Toolkit > Update.
- Load the technician by selecting their name or ID from the dropdown menu.
- In the technician's record:
- Remove the Shift and Efficiency fields by clearing the entries.
- Click Update to save the changes.
The technician will no longer appear in the clocking screen but their historical data will still be accessible.
Step 2: Completely Remove Technician from the System
Warning: This action is permanent and will remove the technician's records from all reports.
- Follow the same steps as above to load the technician in Service Managers Toolkit > Update.
- Click Delete to permanently remove the technician from Navigator.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Important Notes:
- Step 1 is recommended if you want to preserve historical data for reporting and auditing purposes.
- Step 2 should only be used if the technician’s records are no longer required and permanent removal is necessary.
- Ensure you have appropriate authorisation before making these changes, as deleting records cannot be undone.
