Unhandled Exception When Running a Vehicle Stock List

Modified on Tue, 1 Sep at 1:48 PM

When running a Vehicle Stock List, you may receive an Unhandled Exception error similar to the following:

“A column named ‘Chassis’ already belongs to this DataTable.”

The field named in the message may vary depending on the Stock List setup.

Cause

This error occurs when the same column or field has been added to the Stock List report more than once.

For example, if Chassis has accidentally been added twice, the error will reference Chassis as the duplicated column.

How to Resolve

Go to:

Vehicles > Vehicle Parameter Maintenance > Stock Lists

Select the Stock List that is producing the error and review the fields configured for the report.

Look for the field mentioned in the error message. For example:

“A column named ‘Chassis’ already belongs to this DataTable.”

In this example, check the Stock Lists for multiple instances of the Chassis field.

Remove the duplicated field, leaving only one instance, and save the changes.

You should then be able to run the Stock List normally.

Tip

The error message tells you which field has been duplicated, so always use the column name shown in the message when checking the Stock List configuration.
