How to Amend SMS Appointment Reminder Times

By default, SMS appointment reminders are sent at 5 PM (17:00) on the evening before the scheduled appointment. However, you can customise this time to better fit your business needs.


Steps to Adjust SMS Reminder Times

1. Access SMS Reminder Settings

  • Navigate to Workshop > Service Parameters > SMS/Email > SMS Appointment Reminder

2. Enable Custom SMS Timing

  • Tick the checkbox for "Set SMS Time" to activate the custom timing option

3. Enter the Desired Reminder Time

  • In the time field, enter the hour in a 24-hour format
  • Examples:
    ✅ Enter 15 to send reminders at 3 PM
    ✅ Enter 10 to send reminders at 10 AM
    ✅ Enter 18 to send reminders at 6 PM

4. Save the Settings

  • Once the desired time is entered, save the settings
  • The system will now send SMS appointment reminders at the specified hour

Key Considerations

Uses a 24-hour format – Ensure you input the correct time (e.g., 14 for 2 PM, not 2).
Maximise Engagement – Choose a time when customers are most likely to see and respond.
Pre-Appointment Communication – Helps reduce missed appointments by reminding customers at the best time.
