How to Manually Create a Missing Model

If a vehicle model or model year is missing from the system, you can manually add it to the price list. Follow this guide to ensure the process is completed correctly.

There are several potential reasons why a vehicle model might be missing from the system, including:

• Discontinued Model: The vehicle model has been phased out and is no longer available for sale.
• New Model Delay: A recently introduced model has not yet been updated or released in the system.
• Model Recall: The model has been temporarily removed due to a manufacturer recall.
• Price File Omission: The model was never included in the system's price file, possibly due to an oversight or data entry issue.

Steps to Manually Create a Missing Model

1. Access Vehicle Parameter Maintenance

1. Navigate to Vehicle Parameter Maintenance from the main menu.
2. Select the Price List option.

2. Enter Vehicle Details

1. Fill in all the required vehicle details using the dropdown boxes provided.
2. Click Search to check if the model is already listed.

3. Add a New Model

1. If the model is not listed, click the New button.
2. Enter all necessary information for the new model, including:
   • Model Name
   • Year
   • Specifications

4. Set Pricing Details

• Enter the Retail Price and Cost Priceaccurately.
  • These values are critical for pricing calculations and financial reports.
• Double-check all pricing fields to avoid errors.

5. Save the Model

1. Once all fields are complete, click Save & Close to finalise the entry.

• Accuracy: Ensure all fields are filled out accurately, especially retail and cost prices.
• Verification: Always check if the model exists before adding a new entry to prevent duplicates.
• Permissions: You may need the appropriate system permissions to add or edit models in the price list.
